In today’s fast-paced world, achieving your goals often feels like a never-ending challenge. Whether it’s growing your business, shifting your career, or simply getting healthier, we all experience roadblocks. The real question is: What’s stopping you from moving forward?

The answer may surprise you—it’s likely your mindset.

In this episode of the Your Next Move Podcast, I dive deep into a framework that can help you achieve your goals faster and with less stress. It’s called the Be-Do-Have Model, and it’s a game-changer when it comes to transforming the way we think about success.

The Be-Do-Have Model: What It Is and Why It Works

The Be-Do-Have Model might sound simple, but it’s incredibly powerful when you understand it. Here’s the basic idea:

  1. Be the person who achieves your goal.
  2. Do the actions that person would take.
  3. Have the results you desire.

The problem? Most people try to reverse this model: they believe they have to have the goal first—whether it’s more money, confidence, or a promotion—before they can do the necessary actions. And only then will they be the person they want to become.

But here’s the truth: this backwards approach is what keeps most people stuck in a cycle of frustration.

Why Flip Your Mindset?

Your identity drives your actions. If you believe you’re “not ready,” your actions will reflect hesitation, and you’ll get lukewarm results. I’ve experienced this firsthand and have realized that the key to unlocking bigger goals is stepping into the identity of the person who’s already living those goals.

This mindset shift takes courage—but when you make it, you’ll start seeing faster progress, reduced stress, and an overall sense of empowerment.

The Courage Driven Mindset Framework

When we set big goals, it often feels like we have to “step into” an identity we’re not yet comfortable with. But here’s the thing: transformation requires courage. That’s why I’ve developed the Courage Driven Mindset Framework, which helps break down the mental barriers that hold us back.

The framework includes three simple but powerful steps:

  1. Recognize your fear as data, not danger.
  2. Reframe your thoughts to focus on possibilities rather than limitations.
  3. Respond by taking action, no matter how small, to start embodying the person you want to become.

Take Action Today: Your Next Move

Are you ready to flip your mindset and start taking bold steps toward your goals? Begin by applying the Be-Do-Have Model:

  • Identify a goal you’ve been putting off.
  • Be the person who has already achieved it.
  • Take one small action that person would take today.
  • Commit to consistency in showing up as that person.

And remember—fear isn’t a sign to stop, it’s a signal that you’re stepping out of your comfort zone and growing.
